RE: Amend U.S.-India Nuclear Deal to stop proliferation

Dear Senator ,

I am very concerned regarding the U.S.-India Nuclear Deal. I strongly urge you to vote for amendments to this legislation that will strengthen nuclear non-proliferation and prevent India from building more nuclear weapons.

The U.S.-India nuclear agreement approved in the House undermines years of work by the U.S. and the world community to strengthen nonproliferation regulations. This agreement also sets a double standard. The U.S. supports UN action against Iran, an NPT signatory, for developing their nuclear program. Yet, the administration is working to provide nuclear fuel and technology to India, a non-NPT signatory and known nuclear state, to develop its nuclear program.

Please support amendments to the U.S. nuclear deal with India that would require India to stop producing fissile material for nuclear weapons, and prevent India from exporting bomb making materials to Iran or any other nation.
